LEMNISCATES
TREATMENT PLAN
The Initial Consultation consists of -
A brief picture of the person’s
current and past medical history, current and past
medication etc., health and life situation, and perceived
aims for this therapy. This is then followed by a massage,
which involves working on the body using oils/ointments to
the back, limbs and abdomen concluding with a rest. In illness the level of warmth or
lack of warmth can vary over parts of the body and this
serves as a tool in addressing blockages, areas of tension
etc., for the therapist. Following this initial meeting, the
therapist draws up a treatment plan.
Contra-indications
2nd and Subsequent Sessions.
There is a short review at the beginning of each session; this is part of a continual assessment plan. Hands-on lasts an average of 30 minutes and is followed by a rest period of 20 minutes, which is considered an integral part of the therapy. It is preferred and desirable to create appropriate continuity for the treatment process, taking into account the therapist's assessment of the case as well as the patient’s needs and personal circumstances. A minimum of weekly sessions is essential.
Recommended number of treatments
